Where Red Oak players train, and when
The local season, the programs players come up through, and how private coaching fits around them.
Red Oak families sit just southwest of Atlanta's northern lacrosse hotbed, so most players connect to GHSA high school programs and club teams based in the metro rather than a town league of their own.

Rec leagues to the north
Surge Lacrosse in Atlanta runs a K to 8th grade rec league plus Surge Select travel, and families from Red Oak often make the drive north for these entry points since no rec league is based locally.
-

District feeder teams
Middle schoolers typically join age-group and district feeder programs tied to specific high schools, similar to how North Fulton United or Roswell Youth Lacrosse operate further north, ahead of trying out for a GHSA program.

GHSA season and playoffs
GHSA sanctions boys and girls lacrosse in three divisions, with practice opening in mid-January, matches starting in early February, and playoffs running into mid-May state finals across Georgia's high school programs.

Club and travel play
Players move into club programs such as Team 91 Georgia, Dirty Birds, or Atlanta Aces, with tryouts often in July and a season that runs from fall tournaments through summer events after the high school season ends.

Talk to the STXZ teamCan I pick the coach I want?
STXZ matches you with an independent coach based on your location, the player's level, position, and goals. You review that coach's profile by email first and can request a different match before anything is billed.
Is this a fit for a brand-new player in Red Oak?
Yes. Tell STXZ where your player is starting so the match accounts for their level. Beginners work on catching, cradling, and ground balls; experienced players focus on their position.
When do I actually pay?
Once you approve a match and agree on a start date, your invoice arrives by email. It is due in full at least five days before the first lesson. Registration itself requires no payment.
What does it cost in Red Oak?
Rates are per lesson and set for your zip code. Packages of 6 and 12 lessons lower the per-lesson rate, and the booking app accepts any count from 1 to 18. There is a one-time $20 service fee per player.
What if the first session is not a fit?
Contact STXZ within seven days of that lesson and choose a rematch with another coach at no additional charge or a refund of the lesson fees paid. The service fee is not refundable.
Where can we train, and what should we bring?
A backyard, park, or school field within the coach's travel radius, arranged directly with your coach. Bring your stick, protective equipment, and water. Indoor or paid facility charges are yours to cover.
