STXZ conducts a background check on every coach through an independent screening provider before they can be matched with a family.
Safety and conduct training
Every coach completes the STXZ safety and conduct module on professional standards for working with youth athletes.
Payments stay on the platform
Every payment runs through STXZ by card. You never pay a coach directly, and nothing is charged until you've approved your match.
The last check is yours. Read your coach's profile, ask them anything, and only approve when you're comfortable. If the fit isn't right at any point, tell us and we'll work to rematch you with another independent coach in your area.

01How is a coach matched to my player?
Matching is based on what you tell us at registration: your player's age group, skill level, position focus, location, and any gender preference. We search the full roster for the strongest fit near you and send you that coach's profile to review before anything is due.
02What does "self-reported" mean on a coach's profile?
Experience, playing history, and credentials are provided by each independent coach during their application, and we present them to you as provided. Reviewing the profile and asking questions before lessons begin is how you confirm the fit. Separately, STXZ conducts a third-party background check on every coach before they join the roster.
03Do coaches work with beginners and all ages?
Yes. The network covers every age and level, from first-time players to athletes preparing for high-level competition. Your player's age and level are core inputs to the match, so you're paired with a coach who trains players like yours. Semi-private sessions for up to 3 players are available if teammates or siblings want to train together.
04What happens if it rains?
You coordinate directly with your coach to reschedule for a better day at no extra cost. Many coaches also bring their own training equipment, so mention at registration if you don't have a goal.
05Where do lessons take place?
Wherever works for your family. Most lessons happen at a local field, park, or backyard, and you settle on the spot with your coach once you're matched. Coaches travel to you within their service area, so there's no facility to drive to.
06How soon can we start?
Most families are matched within 1-3 days of registering. Once you approve your coach and confirm a start date, the two of you set the first lesson time directly. Many families are on the field within the week.
07Can I request a male or female coach?
Yes. Gender preference is one of the core inputs to your match, along with age group, position, and location. Tell us at registration and we factor it into who we search for. Leaving it open widens the pool and improves the odds of a fast match.
08Can I pick a coach from this page?
The grid above is a preview of the network, not a menu. Your match comes from the full nationwide roster based on your player's needs and your location. If there's a coach you'd like to work with, mention them by name in your registration notes and we'll factor that in.
09What should my player bring?
Their stick, helmet or goggles, mouthguard, cleats, and water. Many coaches bring balls and training equipment, and some bring a goal. Your coach will tell you anything specific before the first lesson.
10How do I reach my coach once we're matched?
Once you approve the match, you get your coach's contact details and coordinate scheduling directly with them. The STXZ team stays a phone call or email away at 888-659-4178 and support@stxzlacrosse.com if you need anything along the way.
11Can we keep the same coach after our package ends?
Yes. When your package wraps up, you can renew with the same coach and keep the momentum going. Renewals run through your STXZ account, so nothing changes about how you pay.
12What if the coach isn't the right fit?
Tell us. Whether it's before the first lesson or partway through a package, we'll work to rematch you with another independent coach in your area. You're never locked in with a coach who isn't working for your player.
