STXZ Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 1, 2026 · Version 238232e9f340
This Privacy Policy explains what information STXZ LLC collects when you use the STXZ website and platform, book or coach lacrosse lessons through STXZ, or contact us, and how we use, share, and protect it. It is part of the STXZ Terms of Service.
The short version: we collect what we need to match families with independent coaches, run lessons safely, take payment, and keep the records our insurer and the law require. We share your information with your matched coach and with the service providers that run the platform. We do not sell it. Children’s information comes only from a parent or guardian. Health information is limited to general categories you choose, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Who We Are & What This Policy Covers
STXZ LLC (“STXZ,” “we,” “us”) is a New Jersey limited liability company that runs the STXZ Lacrosse marketplace at stxzlacrosse.com. STXZ connects families and adult players (“Clients”) with independent contractor lacrosse coaches (“Trainers” or “coaches”).
This Policy covers everyone who visits our website, books lessons, takes part in a lesson as a player, applies to coach or coaches through STXZ, or contacts us. Coaches are independent businesses. When a coach handles your information during your lessons, they do so under the rules in their agreement with STXZ (summarized in Section 13), not as an STXZ employee.
Information We Collect
2.1 From families and adult players
- Contact and account details: your name, email address, phone number, and how you would like to be contacted.
- Booking details: the lesson package you choose, your preferred start date and schedule, your coach preferences (including a preferred coach gender), the city, state and zip code where lessons will take place, whether you have access to a field, and any notes you write for your coach.
- Payment records: what you paid, when, and through which provider. Payments are processed by PayPal or Stripe. STXZ never sees or stores your full card number.
- Liability Waiver: the name you type, your drawn signature, who you are signing as (adult player or parent or guardian), the date and time, the version of the waiver you signed, and the internet address and device you signed from.
- Agreements: a record of the Terms of Service version you accepted, when, and from what internet address, and any consent you give for texts, health information, or photos.
- Lesson records: after each lesson your coach files a report with STXZ that includes the date, the skills worked on, a progress rating, short notes, whether a supervising adult was present, any injury or incident, and any photos taken with your written permission.
- Reviews and messages: reviews you leave for your coach, help requests you send through your booking page, emails and texts with STXZ, and any report you make about a safety concern.
2.2 About players, including children
For each player you register we collect their first and last name, age, gender, position, and skill level. For a player under 18 we also collect the name and email address of their parent or guardian. If you tell us a player has a health condition, we collect only the general category (Section 6). We never collect information directly from a child. Everything about a child comes from that child’s parent or guardian.
2.3 From coaches and coach applicants
Application details (name, contact details, home address, date of birth, and eligibility answers); background check status and results from our screening provider; profile content (photo, biography, playing and coaching history, certifications, gender, service area, and travel radius); an approximate location derived from your address by a mapping provider; contract signatures; insurance fee payments; payout details such as a PayPal address; tax forms you return to us; offer and response history; the lesson reports you file; client reviews and ratings; and messages sent through the platform. Section 13 has more on coach information.
2.4 Collected automatically
When you use the website we receive your internet (IP) address, browser and device type, the pages you open, the address of the page that sent you, and the date and time. Our forms record the internet address and browser used to submit them. Section 8 covers cookies.
How We Use Information
- To match you with a coach using your location, schedule, the player’s age and level, your preferences, and, where you have shared them, health categories.
- To run your lessons: confirming the first lesson date, sending invoices and payment reminders, collecting the Liability Waiver, receiving lesson reports and sending you a summary, handling package changes, rematches, and refunds, and paying your coach.
- To keep players safe: giving your coach the information they need to train safely, recording that a supervising adult was present, tracking injury and incident reports, and administering STXZ’s insurance.
- To support you: answering questions, resolving disputes, and looking into concerns or reports about a coach or a family.
- To communicate: emails about your booking, match, invoices, lesson reports, reviews, and safety, and texts if you opt in (Section 7).
- To run and improve STXZ: understanding how the site and platform are used, fixing problems, preventing fraud and misuse, and keeping records.
- To meet legal and insurance obligations, including tax reporting for coaches, responding to lawful requests, and keeping the records our insurer requires.
We do not use your information for automated decisions that have legal effects on you. Matching suggestions are reviewed by STXZ staff, and coaches decide for themselves whether to accept an offer.
Who We Share Information With
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. Mobile phone numbers and text message opt-in information are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
4.1 Your coach
Coaches who are offered your booking see the players’ ages, positions and level, your town and zip code, your schedule, your notes for the coach, and any health categories, but not your name, street address, or contact details. The coach who accepts your booking then receives your name, phone number, email address, and the lesson location, plus the players’ names once the waiver is signed. A coach who stops working with you must delete your contact details and any photos within 30 days.
4.2 Service providers
Companies that help us run STXZ receive only what they need for their job and may not use it for anything else:
- Payments: PayPal and Stripe (invoices, payment plans, refunds, coach payouts, coach insurance fees).
- Hosting, website and email: our hosting provider, WordPress and Gravity Forms (where our forms and records are stored), and our email delivery services.
- Text messaging: Twilio, for texts you opt in to.
- Maps and location: Mapbox, which turns a city or address into map coordinates so we can match by distance.
- Coach screening and onboarding: our background check provider (Certn), our e-signature service, and our recruiting software (Manatal) for coach applicants.
- Internal team tools: a private team messaging service (Slack) where STXZ staff receive alerts about bookings, matches, payments, and safety reports.
- Google: web fonts loaded from Google, and a link to leave a public Google review if you choose to.
- AI-assisted business tools, as described in Section 9.
4.3 Other situations
- Other families on a shared booking: if another family’s child joins your lessons, that family sees the player names on the booking and signs their own waiver.
- Public coach profiles and reviews: a coach’s first name, last initial, photo, town, background, badges, and reviews are public. A review you leave is shown with your first name and last initial only if you agreed to public display when you wrote it.
- Insurance: our insurer and its representatives, when a claim or incident needs to be reported or investigated.
- Legal and safety: law enforcement, child protection agencies, courts, or regulators when the law requires it, to respond to a lawful request, or to protect the safety of a child, a coach, a family, or STXZ.
- Business changes: if STXZ is sold, merged, or reorganized, your information may transfer to the new owner under this Policy.
Children’s Information
The STXZ website and booking system are for adults. You must be 18 or older to book or to coach. We collect information about players under 18 only from their parent or legal guardian, and only what is needed to match and run lessons safely: name, age, gender, position, level, health categories if the parent chooses to share them, and lesson records.
We do not knowingly collect information directly from a child, and we do not let children create accounts, sign waivers, or leave reviews. Coaches are never permitted to contact a minor directly by phone, text, email, social media, or any app; every communication goes through an adult: the adult who made the booking, the parent or guardian, or another adult they have approved. Coaches may photograph a player only for coaching feedback, only with the parent’s written permission, and must delete the photo within 30 days. STXZ does not use any player’s image in advertising without the parent’s separate written permission.
If you believe a child has given us information directly, or you want a child’s information corrected or deleted, contact support@stxzlacrosse.com.
Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
This section is STXZ’s Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. It applies to everyone, and it is written to meet the requirements of the Washington My Health My Data Act and similar laws in Nevada and Connecticut for residents of those states. It is also published on its own page at stxzlacrosse.com/consumer-health-data-privacy.
6.1 What health information we collect
When you book, you may tell us that a player has a health condition. If you do, we ask for only two things: the general category or categories that apply, chosen from a fixed list (asthma or breathing condition; food or insect allergy; diabetes; seizure disorder; heart condition; recent injury or surgery; past injury, fully healed; concussion in the last 12 months; vision or hearing; learning, attention or behavioral needs; or something else), and whether the player carries emergency medication such as an inhaler, EpiPen, or glucose. We do not ask for, and our booking form does not accept, a written description of the condition, the diagnosis, medications, or the player’s medical history. Those details go directly from you to your coach.
We also receive health-related information in injury and incident reports filed by coaches after a lesson, in a concussion clearance you send us, and in anything you choose to tell us in a message or a report. Bookings made before October 1, 2026 may hold a written health note the family typed at that time; those notes are shown only to the coach working with that family and are cleared once the lesson package ends, unless they relate to an incident.
6.2 Where it comes from
Only from you (the parent, guardian, or adult player) and from coaches’ lesson and incident reports. We do not buy health information, infer it from your other data, or collect it from any other source.
6.3 Why we collect it
To match the player with a coach who can train them safely, to tell that coach a condition exists so they ask you for the details, to hold a booking for a safety review by STXZ staff when a category calls for it, to respond to injuries, and to keep the records our insurer and the law require. We do not use health information for advertising, and we do not sell it.
6.4 Who sees it
Health categories are shared with the coaches offered your booking and with the coach who accepts it, so they can decide whether they are a good fit and prepare. Injury and incident reports are shared with our insurer when a claim or incident requires it. STXZ staff who review bookings and safety reports see it. Our hosting provider stores it as part of our records, and our internal team messaging service may carry an alert that a health review is needed. No one else receives it. We do not sell health information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising. We do not use geofencing.
6.5 Your consent
You choose whether to share health categories. Before they are saved, you check a box consenting to STXZ sharing them with the coaches offered your booking and the coach who accepts it. You can withdraw that consent at any time by asking us to delete the categories (Section 6.6). If you withdraw consent, we will still tell your coach that a condition exists so they can ask you directly, and records of any injury or incident are kept for the period in Section 10.
6.6 Your rights and how to use them
You may ask us to confirm whether we hold health information about you or your child, to give you a copy, to tell you who we shared it with, to withdraw your consent, and to delete it. Email support@stxzlacrosse.com with “Health data request” in the subject line, or use the help form on your booking page. We will respond within 45 days. We may take up to 45 more days for a complex request and will tell you if so. If we decline a request, we will explain why, and you may appeal by replying to our response. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the Washington Attorney General or your own state’s attorney general. We will never treat you differently for using these rights.
Text Messages
Texts from STXZ are optional and are not a condition of booking. You opt in by checking the text message box when you book, or by replying to a text from us. If you opt in, STXZ may text you about scheduling, reminders, invoices, lesson updates, and safety, and to answer a message you send us. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. You can also email support@stxzlacrosse.com.
We keep a record of when and how you opted in. Your phone number and text opt-in information are used only for the messages described here. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Our text messaging provider (Twilio) delivers the messages on our behalf and is not permitted to use your number for anything else.
Your coach may also text or call you, or the parent or guardian, directly to arrange lessons. Those messages are between you and your coach and are not sent through STXZ’s systems.
Cookies, Analytics & Fonts
Our website uses cookies and similar technology that the site needs in order to work: keeping your place in the booking form, remembering a recruit page you visited for up to 30 days so a coach application can be credited to it, caching pages so they load quickly, and protecting forms from abuse. We may use standard web analytics that show us page views and general device and location information in aggregate. We do not run paid advertising, do not use advertising cookies, and do not allow other companies to track you across sites through our website.
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends Google your internet address when it fetches a font. Payment pages load PayPal or Stripe, which set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the booking form may not work without them. We do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals because there is no common standard for them; we do not track you across other sites either way.
AI-Assisted Tools
STXZ uses AI-assisted software to help write website content, analyze how the platform is working, and draft internal documents. We never put a photo, video, or voice recording of any player or family member into an AI tool, never use anyone’s image or voice to train AI models, and never use AI to generate, alter, or re-create a person’s likeness. Coaches are held to the same rule under their agreement with STXZ. When these tools are used with business records, we use providers whose terms do not allow them to train their models on our information, and we limit what is shared to what the task needs.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, and then delete or anonymize it. Some records must be kept longer because of insurance, tax, or the time limits for legal claims, which for a minor do not start until the child turns 18.
- Liability Waivers, lesson reports, and injury or incident reports: until the player turns 23 or for 7 years after the last lesson, whichever is later.
- Reports of abuse, misconduct, or a safety concern about a coach: kept indefinitely, so the same person cannot rejoin the platform.
- Health categories and emergency medication answers: deleted 12 months after your last lesson, sooner on request, unless tied to an injury or incident report.
- Written health notes from before October 1, 2026: cleared once the lesson package ends, unless tied to an incident.
- Photos in lesson reports: kept only as long as needed for records and safety, and deleted sooner on request unless tied to an incident.
- Booking, contact, and payment records: 7 years, for tax and accounting.
- Emails, texts, and support messages: up to 3 years after the matter is closed, unless they relate to an injury, incident, safety report, or dispute, in which case they are kept with that record.
- Coach applications that do not lead to onboarding: up to 2 years.
- Coach records: while the coach is on the platform and afterward for as long as needed for legal, tax, insurance, safety, and dispute purposes. A record of removal for cause may be kept indefinitely.
- Website logs and analytics: up to 14 months.
Your Choices & Rights
Whatever state you live in, you can ask us to:
- See the personal information we hold about you or your child, and get a copy.
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date. Many booking details can be changed from your booking page.
- Delete your information. We will delete everything except what we must keep under Section 10, and we will tell you what that is.
- Withdraw consent for texts (reply STOP), for health categories (Section 6), or for use of a player’s photo.
- Stop marketing emails using the link in any such email. We will still send emails needed to run your booking.
Email support@stxzlacrosse.com or use the help form on your booking page. We will confirm your identity, usually by replying from the email on your booking, and respond within 45 days. There is no charge, and we will not treat you differently for making a request. If we decline a request, we will explain why and you can appeal by replying. Residents of states with privacy laws that give additional rights, such as the right to opt out of targeted advertising or profiling, can use them the same way; STXZ does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Security
We protect your information with measures that fit its sensitivity: the site runs over HTTPS; card payments are handled entirely by PayPal and Stripe; links to your booking, payment, and waiver pages are signed so they cannot be guessed; coaches see only what they need and only after accepting your booking; health information is limited to categories; STXZ staff access is limited to the people who need it; and the error logs and internal alerts we keep exclude children’s health details.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Coaches: Additional Details
If you apply to coach or coach through STXZ, Section 2.3 lists what we collect. In addition:
- Background checks are run by our screening provider under its own disclosure and authorization, which you sign with the provider. We receive the status and result. We do not share background check reports with families; families see only a badge showing that a check was completed.
- Your public profile shows your first name and last initial, photo, biography, approximate town, playing and coaching background, badges, and reviews. Your full name, contact details, address, background check, payout details, and internal notes are never shown to families before they book. The family you are matched with receives your name and phone number once you accept.
- Location: we convert your service area address to map coordinates to measure distance to families. Families see your town, never your street.
- Payouts and taxes: we keep your payout address and the lesson reports that support each payout. If you earn $2,000 or more through STXZ in a year, we ask for a W-9 and issue a 1099. Tax forms are kept only for tax purposes.
- Roster status: if you leave the platform or are removed, we keep the records Section 10 describes and stop all other contact. You can ask us to delete your personal information; we will keep only what tax, insurance, and legal obligations require.
- Family information you receive belongs to that family. Your agreement with STXZ requires you to use it only for their lessons, never share it, and delete it within 30 days of finishing with the family.
