Where Stockbridge players train, and when
The local season, the programs players come up through, and how private coaching fits around them.
Stockbridge families sit southeast of Atlanta's northern lacrosse hubs, so most players build their game through rec leagues, feeder programs, and club travel teams based elsewhere in the metro.

PreK to grade 8
Rec leagues and youth entry
Players in Stockbridge often start through rec-based programs like Surge Lacrosse in Atlanta, which runs a K to 8th grade league alongside its Surge Select travel option, giving younger players a straightforward path into the sport before committing to club play.
-
Middle school
Feeder programs and fall divisions
Middle schoolers typically continue through youth age-group teams tied to high school feeder districts, and the Atlanta Lacrosse League adds fall middle school divisions for those who want extra games outside the spring season.

GHSA season and playoffs
GHSA sanctions boys and girls lacrosse in Divisions 1, 2 and 3, with practice opening in mid-January, matches starting in early February, playoffs beginning in late April, and state finals in mid-May, the same calendar Stockbridge families follow.
-
Summer and fall
Club, travel, and fall ball
Club and travel programs including Team 91 Georgia, Dirty Birds, Atlanta Aces, and Atlanta Surge Select run from fall tournaments through summer events, with tryouts often in July, and fall ball fills September through November for players who want year-round reps.

Talk to the STXZ teamCan I pick the coach I want?
STXZ matches you with an independent coach based on your location, the player's level, position, and goals. You review that coach's profile by email first and can request a different match before anything is billed.
Is this a fit for a brand-new player in Stockbridge?
Yes. Tell STXZ where your player is starting so the match accounts for their level. Beginners work on catching, cradling, and ground balls; experienced players focus on their position.
When do I actually pay?
Once you approve a match and agree on a start date, your invoice arrives by email. It is due in full at least five days before the first lesson. Registration itself requires no payment.
What does it cost in Stockbridge?
Rates are per lesson and set for your zip code. Packages of 6 and 12 lessons lower the per-lesson rate, and the booking app accepts any count from 1 to 18. There is a one-time $20 service fee per player.
What if the first session is not a fit?
Contact STXZ within seven days of that lesson and choose a rematch with another coach at no additional charge or a refund of the lesson fees paid. The service fee is not refundable.
Where can we train, and what should we bring?
A backyard, park, or school field within the coach's travel radius, arranged directly with your coach. Bring your stick, protective equipment, and water. Indoor or paid facility charges are yours to cover.
