How players come up here

The programs a Stonecrest player moves through, youngest first.

  1. PreK to grade 8

    Rec and youth age-group teams

Younger players in the Stonecrest area typically start with rec-style or youth age-group programs feeding into district lines, similar to Newtown Recreation Lacrosse or Surge Lacrosse's K to 8th grade league, before moving toward middle school and high school feeder teams.

  2. Middle school

District feeder and fall league play

Middle schoolers around Stonecrest generally join high school district feeder programs and age-group teams, with the Atlanta Lacrosse League adding fall middle school divisions for extra game reps outside the spring calendar.

  3. High school

    GHSA season, February through May

GHSA sanctions boys and girls lacrosse across three divisions, with practice opening in mid-January, games starting in early February, playoffs beginning in late April, and state finals in mid-May, the backbone of the season for Stonecrest families.

  4. Summer and fall

    Club, travel, and fall ball

Once the high school season ends, players looking to keep developing turn to club and travel programs like Team 91 Georgia, Dirty Birds, Atlanta Aces, and Atlanta Surge Select, plus fall ball from September to November and winter box lacrosse in the Georgia Swarm Box League.

Where private coaching fits

How families in and around Stonecrest use an independent coach.

Talk to the STXZ team
Can I pick the coach I want?

STXZ matches you with an independent coach based on your location, the player's level, position, and goals. You review that coach's profile by email first and can request a different match before anything is billed.

Is this a fit for a brand-new player in Stonecrest?

Yes. Tell STXZ where your player is starting so the match accounts for their level. Beginners work on catching, cradling, and ground balls; experienced players focus on their position.

When do I actually pay?

Once you approve a match and agree on a start date, your invoice arrives by email. It is due in full at least five days before the first lesson. Registration itself requires no payment.

What does it cost in Stonecrest?

Rates are per lesson and set for your zip code. Packages of 6 and 12 lessons lower the per-lesson rate, and the booking app accepts any count from 1 to 18. There is a one-time $20 service fee per player.

What if the first session is not a fit?

Contact STXZ within seven days of that lesson and choose a rematch with another coach at no additional charge or a refund of the lesson fees paid. The service fee is not refundable.

Where can we train, and what should we bring?

A backyard, park, or school field within the coach's travel radius, arranged directly with your coach. Bring your stick, protective equipment, and water. Indoor or paid facility charges are yours to cover.

Who are the coaches in Stonecrest?

Independent contractors on the STXZ roster, not STXZ employees. Each passes a criminal background check and completes STXZ safety and conduct training before taking a first lesson. Coaching and playing history is provided by the coach, and clients are responsible for vetting their matched coach before booking.
