Become a private lacrosse trainer with STXZ
STXZ connects families with independent lacrosse pros across the country. You run the sessions, set your availability, and coach your way. The platform sends you client opportunities and handles the billing.
- Client offers matched to your area and availability
- Full control of your schedule, methods, and coaching style
- Sessions at local fields and parks, inside the radius you choose
- Session-based earnings paid through the platform
- A national roster of independent lacrosse pros
Trainers on STXZ are independent contractors, not employees. You provide services directly to clients and make every on-field decision yourself.
Coach on your terms
A facility job rents your hours and sets your shifts. On STXZ you run a training business of your own: you pick the offers, the radius, and the way you coach.
Coaching at a facility
-
Flat hourly rate
The facility sets your pay and keeps the upside, no matter how in demand your coaching is.
-
Shifts set by a manager
Nights, weekends, whatever the schedule needs. Your calendar belongs to the front desk.
-
One building
You commute to them, regardless of where the players actually live.
-
Their brand on the door
Families remember the facility, not the coach who actually developed their player.
Independent pro on STXZ
-
Session-based earnings
Every offer shows the session rate up front, and you get paid through the platform for each completed lesson.
-
Your calendar
Accept or decline every offer. No required hours, no required clients, no minimums.
-
Your area
Offers come from inside the travel radius you set, at local fields and parks near you.
-
Your name
Families who like your sessions request you again through STXZ. The repeat business is yours to earn.
Built around how you actually work
Three controls sit at the center of the platform, and you own all three.
You set the radius
Tell the platform how far you'll travel. Client offers only come from inside that area, so every match is one you can realistically take.
You set the schedule
Keep your availability current and accept only the offers that fit it. No required hours and no required offers, ever.
You see the pay up front
Every offer shows the session rate before you accept, and the platform pays you for each completed lesson.
From application to first offer
Five steps, all completed from your trainer onboarding hub.
Apply
A short application: your coaching background, the areas you cover, and how far you're willing to travel.
Background screening
Completed through Certn, an independent third-party screening provider. Passing is required before full client details unlock.
Sign your agreement
The STXZ Independent Contractor Agreement defines the relationship in plain terms: you're an independent pro running your own business, not an employee.
Complete safety and conduct training
A short module covering the platform's safety policies and professional standards.
Activate insurance and go live
Roster activeAn annual insurance fee adds you to the platform's liability policy for sessions booked and paid through STXZ. Once your steps clear, client offers start arriving.
Credentials and experience are self-reported on your application and profile. Screening decisions are made independently by the third-party provider.
You run the training. STXZ runs the platform
The marketplace works because the line between your business and the platform never blurs.
What you control
- When you work and which offers you accept
- Where you train, inside the radius you choose
- How you teach: your drills, methods, and session plans
- Your own equipment and professional approach
- The entire on-field experience you deliver
What STXZ handles
- Client matching and introductions
- Billing, payments, and payouts
- Administrative support
- The marketplace itself
What STXZ never does
- Supervise or evaluate your sessions
- Set your hours or require you to accept offers
- Dictate drills, methods, or lesson plans
- Assign territories or guarantee client volume
One agreement, one bar
STXZ doesn't supervise sessions or grade your coaching. Every independent pro on the roster signs the same contractor agreement, and it sets a shared bar for professionalism and safety.
The full standards live in the STXZ Independent Contractor Agreement and the Contractor Guide, both signed during onboarding.
Roster requirements
Six things every applicant needs. They keep the roster credible for the families who book through it.
- Lacrosse experience as a coach or a player, at any level. No minimum years required
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel within your chosen radius
- Strong communication skills: the ability to teach, motivate, and engage players
- A positive, energetic coaching style and a real interest in developing young athletes
- Comfort working independently in a self-directed coaching business
- Your own lacrosse equipment for running effective sessions
Qualifications are self-reported on your application. Every pro also completes third-party background screening, the contractor agreement, and safety training before going live.
Apply nowSupport without supervision
You run your business independently. When you need help with an offer, a payment, or the platform, a real person answers, every day of the week.
Real help, every day
Questions about an offer, a session, or a payout? The support team is available seven days a week.
Trust on both sides of the match
Clients sign a liability waiver before the first lesson, and every pro completes third-party background screening before going live.
Platform liability coverage
An annual insurance fee activates limited platform-level liability coverage for lessons booked and paid through STXZ.

STXZ Lacrosse operates a marketplace platform that connects clients with independent contractor lacrosse trainers. STXZ does not employ, supervise, or control trainers, and does not provide training services directly. Trainers provide services directly to clients, control their own methods and schedules, and are responsible for their own taxes, expenses, and business decisions.
