How players come up here

The programs a Whitpain player moves through, youngest first.

  1. Grades K to 2

    Early clinic and intramural play

Many Whitpain-area programs offer kindergarten through 2nd grade intramural or clinic formats that introduce stick skills and basic rules before players enter full league competition. Some communities in this part of Montgomery County also field K to 4 teams in the Delaware Valley Lacrosse League, giving younger players early game experience.

  2. Grades 3 to 8

    SEPYLA and PAGLA league seasons

Boys in grades 3 through 8 compete in the Southeastern Pennsylvania Youth Lacrosse Association and girls in the same grades play through the Philadelphia Area Girls Lacrosse Association. Both leagues run mid-March through late May on a schedule of one weekend game and two weeknight practices, keeping players active through the full spring.

  3. High school

Suburban One League and PIAA play

High school players in Whitpain compete in the Suburban One League under PIAA District 1. Practices open in early March, league games run through mid-May, District 1 playoffs fill late May, and the PIAA state tournament runs the first two weeks of June with finals at Penn State.

  4. Summer and fall

    Club, travel, and fall ball

Club and travel play runs June through July and returns in the fall, with tryouts in June and July and weekend tournaments across the region. Clubs including Mesa, Team TEN, Dynasty Elite, Forge Lacrosse Club and Duke's Lacrosse Club hold tryouts near the hub. Winter box and indoor clinics run December through February.

How families in and around Whitpain use an independent coach.

When families book

Coaches come directly to Whitpain families, with no facility needed on the family's end. Families in this part of Montgomery County most often schedule sessions in January and February before tryouts and again in July and August ahead of fall ball.

Fields families use

Your backyard, a local park, or your club's field: you and your coach settle it directly, anywhere inside their travel radius.

Talk to the STXZ team
Can I pick the coach I want?

STXZ matches you with an independent coach based on your location, the player's level, position, and goals. You review that coach's profile by email first and can request a different match before anything is billed.

Is this a fit for a brand-new player in Whitpain?

Yes. Tell STXZ where your player is starting so the match accounts for their level. Beginners work on catching, cradling, and ground balls; experienced players focus on their position.

When do I actually pay?

Once you approve a match and agree on a start date, your invoice arrives by email. It is due in full at least five days before the first lesson. Registration itself requires no payment.

What does it cost in Whitpain?

Rates are per lesson and set for your zip code. Packages of 6 and 12 lessons lower the per-lesson rate, and the booking app accepts any count from 1 to 18. There is a one-time $20 service fee per player.

What if the first session is not a fit?

Contact STXZ within seven days of that lesson and choose a rematch with another coach at no additional charge or a refund of the lesson fees paid. The service fee is not refundable.

Where can we train, and what should we bring?

A backyard, park, or school field within the coach's travel radius, arranged directly with your coach. Bring your stick, protective equipment, and water. Indoor or paid facility charges are yours to cover.

Who are the coaches in Whitpain?

Independent contractors on the STXZ roster, not STXZ employees. Each passes a criminal background check and completes STXZ safety and conduct training before taking a first lesson. Coaching and playing history is provided by the coach, and clients are responsible for vetting their matched coach before booking.
