Where East Greenwich players train, and when

How players come up here

The programs a East Greenwich player moves through, youngest first.

  1. Grades K to 8

    Youth and rec entry play

Girls in grades 3 through 8 compete in PAGLA, which fields more than 50 clubs across the region each spring. Boys feed into SEPYLA-connected programs on the same mid-March to late May schedule. Some towns also run kindergarten through second grade clinic or intramural programs to introduce the game early.

  2. Middle school

PAGLA and SEPYLA through 8th grade

SEPYLA and PAGLA carry players through 8th grade with one weekend game and two weeknight practices each week, running mid-March to late May. This stretch is where players sharpen positional skills and start getting noticed by high school and club coaches looking ahead to the following spring.

  3. High school

    NJSIAA spring season

East Greenwich high schoolers compete under the NJSIAA on a spring schedule that mirrors the Pennsylvania calendar, with practices in early March, league games through mid-May, and postseason play to follow. Private coaching in the January and February window helps players prepare for tryouts and lock down roster spots.

  4. Summer and fall

    Club and travel tournaments

Club and travel play runs June through July, with tryouts and weekend tournaments across the region. Clubs active around the Philadelphia hub include Mesa, Team TEN, Dynasty Elite, Forge Lacrosse Club, and Duke's Lacrosse Club. Fall ball and indoor clinics keep East Greenwich players sharp from December through February.

Talk to the STXZ team
Can I pick the coach I want?

STXZ matches you with an independent coach based on your location, the player's level, position, and goals. You review that coach's profile by email first and can request a different match before anything is billed.

Is this a fit for a brand-new player in East Greenwich?

Yes. Tell STXZ where your player is starting so the match accounts for their level. Beginners work on catching, cradling, and ground balls; experienced players focus on their position.

When do I actually pay?

Once you approve a match and agree on a start date, your invoice arrives by email. It is due in full at least five days before the first lesson. Registration itself requires no payment.

What does it cost in East Greenwich?

Rates are per lesson and set for your zip code. Packages of 6 and 12 lessons lower the per-lesson rate, and the booking app accepts any count from 1 to 18. There is a one-time $20 service fee per player.

What if the first session is not a fit?

Contact STXZ within seven days of that lesson and choose a rematch with another coach at no additional charge or a refund of the lesson fees paid. The service fee is not refundable.

Where can we train, and what should we bring?

A backyard, park, or school field within the coach's travel radius, arranged directly with your coach. Bring your stick, protective equipment, and water. Indoor or paid facility charges are yours to cover.

Who are the coaches in East Greenwich?

Independent contractors on the STXZ roster, not STXZ employees. Each passes a criminal background check and completes STXZ safety and conduct training before taking a first lesson. Coaching and playing history is provided by the coach, and clients are responsible for vetting their matched coach before booking.
